Emma Johnson is the founder of Wealthy Single Mommy - a blog, website, podcast and community to help, motivate and inspire other single mothers just like herself.

Prior to becoming a single mother, Emma was married with a 14-month old daughter when her husband was involved in a tragic accident. Thankfully her husband survived, however their relationship was never the same again due to him suffering a traumatic brain injury. Thus Emma soon became a single mother to now two children.

What Emma soon realized is she was not alone. She explains there are 10 million unmarried moms right now and almost 60% of millennial mothers became are raising kids outside of a traditional marriage.

And these single mothers are thriving.

“For the first time in history it is very possible for unmarried women to raise amazing, healthy children while also building wildly successful businesses and careers – and enjoy dating and the pursuit of romantic love. I’m one of them” - Emma Johnson

Emma comes on the show to share her story and how she’s made it her mission to help single mothers realize they have what it takes to not only make it but to build a very successful life, business and career at the same time.

“Seth” - my very own financial advisor - comes on to say what most advisors won't.

Since most professionals in the financial industry are so highly regulated, “Seth” agreed to come on the show if we kept his identity a secret.

Now that he's anonymous, he is able to drop a ton of value including what you should be asking your advisor, how fees are structured, and some of the biggest mistakes he sees new clients make.

During our interview, I ask Seth:

• Explain how robo-advising works
• When robo-advising is not a good fit
• How to know whether or not your advisor has a plan or not
• What questions you should be asking your next financial advisor
• What should you be talking to your current advisor about

As a BONUS, this episode comes with a PDF Cheat Sheet I asked “Seth” create, which will come in very handy when you're getting ready to interview your next advisor.

By the end of the episode, you'll have a much better understanding of how financial advisors are paid, common fees you can expect, and what you should not be paying for at all.

Kayla Sloan has been my virtual assistant since the very beginning of Money Peach. There is so much that goes into creating blog content, putting together a weekly podcast, helping students inside the Awesome Money Course, and making sure it all goes smoothly. Without Kayla, there’s no possible way I could get all of this done and still work as a full-time firefighter.

Recently I have had a few people ask me how they could generate extra income every month to pay off debt faster, to cover their mortgage, to buy groceries, or to simply just have a little fun with money!

That’s where Kayla comes in. You see, Kayla didn’t go to college to become a virtual assistant and she doesn’t have a background in information technology. Instead she simply helps people with whatever they need online...and now just a few years later she’s making over $10,000 every single month by doing so!

During our interview, I ask Kayla:

• How she get started as a virtual assistant
• How she first began reaching out to potential clients
• What her rates were in the beginning versus now
• How long it took her to quit her full-time day-job to work as a V.A.
• What tools and resources she recommends to get started
